This is what you get!
- Hands-On Learning and Participation
Organic Farming: Volunteers can help with planting, maintaining, and harvesting spices and other crops. This could include working in your mushroom production or spice farming, where they can learn about sustainable agriculture practices.
Beekeeping: Involve them in beekeeping activities, such as hive maintenance, honey extraction, and learning about the importance of bees in the ecosystem.
Organic Oyster Mushroom Production: Teach them about the process of cultivating mushrooms, from preparation to harvest. - Community Engagement and Teaching
Educational Workshops: Volunteers can conduct workshops or classes, such as teaching English, ICT skills, or other subjects that match their expertise, to local students or community members.
Sports and Recreation: Organize sports activities or games with local youth, promoting health and teamwork.
Environmental Awareness: Engage them in environmental conservation projects, like tree planting, recycling initiatives, or beach clean-ups. - Cultural Exchange and Swahili Experience
Cooking Lessons: Offer them the chance to learn and participate in traditional Swahili cooking lessons, which can be a fun and immersive cultural experience.
Local Community Integration: Arrange homestays or interaction with local families to give volunteers a deeper understanding of Zanzibar’s culture and daily life. - Skill Development
Workshops in Sustainable Tourism: Involve them in learning about sustainable tourism practices, including how to promote eco-friendly activities and support local communities.
Marketing and Social Media: Volunteers can help with promoting ZASPIHE through social media, creating content, or even helping with event planning and management. - Adventure and Exploration
Guided Tours: Offer guided tours of local attractions, such as spice farms, Jozani Forest, and historical sites in Zanzibar, allowing volunteers to explore the area and learn about its heritage.
Eco-Tourism Activities: Visiting local markets and artisans to see traditional crafts and trades. - Personal Development Opportunities
Workshops on Personal Growth: Organize sessions on mindfulness, leadership, or intercultural communication to help volunteers grow personally while they contribute to the community. - Relaxing and Flexible Hours
Requirements for Internship and Volunteering in Zaspihe
- You enjoy working with people.
- You are 18 – 40 years old at the time of application .
- You have Basic English language skills.
- Your application documents are in English and complete
- You are willing to complete at-least 1 week of voluntary service

Interest and Willingness to Learn:
Volunteers should have a genuine interest in organic farming, sustainable tourism, or cultural exchange, and be willing to learn and participate actively in the daily tasks.
Code of Conduct:
Volunteers are expected to adhere to ZASPIHE’s code of conduct, which includes being respectful, punctual, and maintaining a positive attitude.
They should avoid behaviors that could be harmful or disruptive to the community and environment.

Cost for Internship and Volunteering Service
1. One Week Internship
- Price: $150
- Includes: Training or orientation and access to facilities and resources.
2. Two Week Internship
- Price: $250
- Includes: Extended training and additional involvement in activities.
3. Three Week Internship
- Price: $300
- Includes: Comprehensive training, involvement in more activities, and potentially a small project or assignment.
4. One Month Internship
- Price $400
- Includes: Full training program, more extensive involvement in projects or activities, and possibly a final report or presentation.
- One week of vacation
NOTE:
The duration of internship and volunteering services may exceed one month but cannot exceed one year.
